• Let Your Friends know new details / number etc
• Find Keys & Label for new owner. Find any special instruction manuals
• Decide on a mobile number for contact during the move. Arrange Land line Changeover
• Book electricians / plumbers if you need appliances removed
• Do you need child care on the day - its much safer for small ones to be elsewhere
• Dogs and Cats can get very nervous - its always better to leave them with friends
• Be Specific with what you want from your remover. Make a list of any dismantling or fixed items that you need assistance with. Everything is possible but planning is essential so that the timing of your move stays on track
• Collate your garden and garage items into one area where possible to make identification easier for the men. Please do not water plants on the move day!
• Try to run down your food stocks in the run up to your move. When did you last empty / defrost your freezer
• Keep aside personal clothes / items you will need on the day. Let the team leader know what is to be left off the lorry
• Remember if you are doing the packing it must be done the night before we come. Keep out enough refreshments for your family and helpers.
